Types of Events
Our weekly healing activities are for survivors of sexual assault and/or intimate partner violence. As we hold trauma not just in our minds, but also in our bodies, the activities offer a way to process this trauma while building self-esteem, new skills and being a part of a welcoming community. All healing activities are free of charge, inclusive and drop-in unless noted on calendar. If this is your first time to our center, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 504-592-4005 for more info or to get signed up.
Community events are events offered by NOFJC or our community partners. Events are a chance to engage with the wider community around issues of sexual and domestic violence, educate, support survivors, raise awareness and support the work of our center. We hope you will join us!
We offer a wide range of training in our community, statewide, and nationally on topics related to sexual assault, domestic violence, trauma-informed care, non-fatal strangulation and more. Our training calendar also features training from community partners and partners nationwide. Many of the training opportunities are free and some are web-based.
We offer programming, healing activities and groups in Spanish.
